Michael Gam is a New York City-based bassist, multi-instrumentalist, composer, and producer in the lineage of Jazz bass giant Ray Brown and Hindustani sarod maestro Ali Akbar Khan. A bassist of notable breadth and depth, he has performed and recorded with elder jazz musicians and leading innovators like Ambrose Akinmusire and Tigran Hamasyan as well as being called upon to accompany master musicians from around the world. Michael will be performing an afternoon melody from the Hindustani (North Indian) traditional repertoire.
